Reading is something I am addicting to, be it newspaper, magazine or online surfing, there is hardly a day when I do not read for at least 2 hours. I came across several articles; reviews etc. about MUST High School and that compelled me to research about it their lucrative offers were making me suspicious.

The areas of concern for me were its credibility, and when I read about completion of a high school diploma within one year my immediate expression was “This is impossible!”, the world hasn’t become so fast paced as yet. Then I started researching on it and as things unfolded, I kept getting satisfactory answers one after another.

Firstly, I wanted to find out MUST High School’s affiliation with any credible or a renowned institution or bodies because that is a pre requisite for online high school. Its website mentioned an accreditation from IAO (International Accreditation Organization) which is a well established name within the education industry. This international accreditation provided some ground to me to establish a neutral image of MUST, but when I saw the patented point profiling system in detail I was sure that MUST High School is anything, but illegitimate. For details visit

http://www.musthighschool.com/must/accreditation.asp

For finding out how is it possible to complete a high school diploma in less than a year I contacted their consultants at the contact number 1-866-533-MUST (6878). The lady on the phone then explained to me their process of assessing the candidate’s prior credits or prior learning through work experience or life experience. They have a structured assessment test, which a candidate needs to qualify in order to receive the diploma in less than a year.

After exploring the facts about MUST High School, my concerns were clarified and today if anyone asks me for a reputable online high school, my recommendation to them is MUST high school.

You can bet a million dollars on it!

MUST High School offers its students diplomas completely online eliminating the need to travel to a fixed location to attend classes. Students follow a demanding curriculum which is designed keeping the needs of the job market in mind, and with the most up-to-date course material.

For each course, students are assigned coursework and must complete tests, assessments and examinations as per the requirements of the particular course. All requirements – be it assignments, assessments or examinations – need to be completed before grades are assigned according to the quality of work handed in. Only upon successful completion of all required courses are diplomas awarded.

This is in complete contrast to “fake” High Schools which operate online and offer so-called diplomas. These High Schools hand over a diploma in as short a period as a week, asking you only for some “compensation” in return. You attend no lectures, you sit for no examinations, you submit no assignments and you complete no coursework, and still you manage to get a diploma in your hand. Such High Schools are nothing more than “diploma mills” in which a diploma is printed out upon request using a printer installed in probably someone’s garage or apartment.

The extensive hard work that MUST High School’s expect from its students speaks volumes for the legitimacy of its programs and the quality of its education.

“Absolutely, without a doubt!”

This was the only answer I could give to a colleague of mine after a long argument with him regarding the credibility of MUST High School, from where I am trying to complete my high school diploma online. For those of you not in the know, MUST High School offers high school diplomas and GED’s completely online, without you ever having to attend a school campus. So, what’s my friend’s problem?

As he put it, this high school is online, you don’t know when it will disappear, and you’ll never be able to track it. Your hard work, your money, your time, all flushed away! He doesn’t get it does he? There is government protection to prevent this kind of thing from happening. That goes by the name of accreditation.

For the uninitiated, any and all academic institutions, online or otherwise, are required to be accredited by, you guessed it, accrediting bodies, before they are eligible to open their doors to students. In simple English, this means that they have to meet certain minimum standards before the accrediting body will allow them to operate.

One of these standards is reliability of A high school that does not meet the standards is not granted accreditation, and is nothing more than what is known as a “diploma mill” – from where you only get a fake and worthless diploma that is only good for swatting flies.

Now, what about MUST? MUST, as I explained to my dear friend, has been granted accreditation by a body known as International Accreditation Organization (IAO), a global accrediting institute. His eyes rolled. “Accreditation is only regional and national. Any other level, no good. IAO is neither, it is a global accrediting institute. What are you talking about?”

Why is it so hard to comprehend? There IS without a doubt such a thing as global accreditation, which is given to high schools not confined to a single location. Such high schools are typically based online and therefore they allow students from all over the globe to benefit from the education they provide. For such high schools, since they do not operate from any specific location, it is not logical to give them either national or regional accreditation.

Unfortunately, my friend isn’t the only one who thinks this way. There is a complete faction that looks down upon online education of any sort. How ridiculous is that? Just because you studied in a traditional brick-and-mortar high school and took the trouble of attending classes, that is supposed to make you automatically superior to others whose limitations and personal commitments prevent them from doing the same?

Think about it logically. Tens of thousands of graduates pass out of MUST High School every year, and manage to land lucrative jobs in hot-growth professions. What’s more, tens of thousands of students are studying there, and thousands more enrol each year. What other evidence can there be?
